High School football season is upon us and in Texas, that means it’s time for Mum's season.

In the heart of Marshall, Texas, a spirited celebration is on the horizon as Wiley College prepares to welcome alumni, students, and the local community to its annual Homecoming festivities.

Again, to each their own. Enjoy. Do your thing. But I'd be fibbing if I didn't say I think we've gone one step too far. In my opinion, a Homecoming Mum shouldn't be more visible than the kids wearing them.

This is one high school homecoming pep rally that went too far and should have been terminated by the school administration as soon as it was happening instead of participating in it.

Homecoming season, for the most part, has come to an end for high schools, and girls all across the state were wearing mums to school in celebration of homecoming. Some were as big as Texas, but how pricey were they this year?

I figured a mum was in the $20 to $50 range. Boy was I wrong.

This screams "Texas in a pandemic".

One thing I've never understood about Homecoming Mums is how they continue to get bigger and bigger. Some mums cover the entire body of the young lady wearing them.
