I was born in Houston, family moved to Kilgore in 1st grade & I graduated there in '91. I took some broadcasting classes at KC because I ddin't wanna do anything that sounded like a real job....I started in radio in Tyler in 1991 at KISX, then off to Victoria, Tx, then Austin, then 1st time at 96X...mornings takes years off your life, then afternoons in Greensboro, NC for 4 years, then middays and afternoons at KZPS in Dallas for 5 years, now I've moved back to Kilgore and working in Tyler again. I've managed to avoid real jobs for almost 20 years!!!! I'm divorced with 2 kids. Alex is 15, and Shelby is 17. I also have a goofy dog named Waylon. I stilllll love the Dallas Cowboys. I like to cook, see bands, enjoy malt based beverages, and fires.

The NFL, MLB and NCAA According To Allen McGee
While the Cowboys are getting players in and out of the hospital and the major conferences in NCAA football are shaking and shuddering (more on that in a minute).
YOUR Texas Rangers are close to wrapping up another division title and heading to the playoffs. Derek Holland dominated Oakland for his 15th win last night. The magic number for Texas has been reduced to 4. I never woulda thunk it -- but
Allen McGee’s Football Weekend Recap – 9/19
I only bombed on one pick -- Bears at New Orleans. I missed the spread on the Cowboys game but hey -- a win is a win. As for the Cowboys -- the Romo haters are quiet today.
Kitna actually was better than I expected. I can't stress enough how hard it is to come off the bench like that but his 2 INTs were bad (one in the end zone, the other on about the Dallas 40yard line)-- that's probably a 10 poi
College Sports According To Allen – 9/16
I'm soooo glad it's football season!
Texas-4 @ UCLA
This is the ABC afternoon game at 2:30 Sat. As a longtime Horns fan, I'm enjoying the hell out of Brian harsin's innovative offense. With Case McCoy starting and Ash off the bench, they should put up some points on UCLA. Texas, UCLA, Rose Bowl -- this is what's good about college football!
My prediction = Texas 27-UCLA14 --More after the jum
The NFL According To Allen – September 16
Everyone is so down on Romo -- and rightfully so. He made 2 boneheaded plays at the end of the Jets game. BUT, Dallas wouldn't have been ahead without Romo playing well for 3.5 quarters, especially with zero run game -- PLUS, the punt blocked for a TD in inexcusable. More of NFL details after the jump
