Allen’s NFL Preview

Allen tells us the games to watch this Sunday.  There is also a big Monday night game this week with the Redskins traveling to Dallas for the first home game for the Cowboys this season. Get Allen's take on the NFL after the jump.

As I write this Friday morning, Romo's punctured lung has healed. He's playing. I'd bet Dez Bryant plays too. But Romo, Dez, Felix Jones, Derrick Dockery, Phil Costa,and Orlando Scandrick all missed practice yesterday. Good news is Terrence Newman and Mike Jenkins WILL start at CB. Washington doesn't really have anything that scary on offense. There is no line for the game due to all the injuries, but I think Dallas wins the home opener Monday night.

NY Giants +8 @ Eagles

The other 2 NFC East teams are squaring off as well. The status of the QB is huge in this game too with the questions about Vick's concussion. I'd take the Giants to cover. If they can run a little bit and keep the speedy Philly offense off the field, the Philadelphia "Dream Team" should start 1-2. That makes me happy.

Pittsburgh 10.5 @ Indy

Double digit spreads are sooo rare in the NFL, much less for a road team. But Indy flat out sucks. I hate the Steelers, but they cover and their defense scores me a ton of fantasy points!
