Whether you consider yourself a writer at this moment or you would just like to be, take a look at this weekly meeting at the Tyler Public Library, at 201 College in Tyler, in the Makerspace. They meet every Wednesday from 12 until 2 p.m. So, perhaps you could take a longer lunch on those days?

I believe, at times, we under-estimate the power of community. Obviously this means engaging in our communities, generally-speaking. However, if you have an interest or a passion and want to develop it, having a group of like-minded individuals with whom you can discuss this passion, it can make a world of difference. Even great writers like Henry David Thoreau or artists we revere like Van Gogh, had a community of like-minded fellows with whom they could chat about their process and get feedback from one another on their work.

So, don't miss this opportunity to collaborate with others. Also, talking with people who share your interest can make it feel more "real" when so many other "real life" things are vying for your attention.

If you are a writer, want to be, or aspire to become more connected with other writers with whom you can discuss the writing process, stories, and life in general, check out the Writer's Club. Connect with them via their Facebook page here.
