Playful And Friendly, Pinky Is Looking For A Loving Home

Many East Texas families will have a new member to the crew come Christmas morning or a few days before. That new member will often be a dog or a cat, as a young child sits in Santa's lap and whispers to him that they would love a puppy, dog, or cat for Christmas.

As always, Santa is listening and considering several different factors. He is contemplating how adding a dog or a cat to the family will play out. There are a lot of things to consider, and if Santa is thinking about pulling a dog or cat out of the sleigh, he should adopt a shelter dog instead of shopping for one.

The Humane Society of Tyler's Pets Fur People has a kennel full of dogs that are seeking adoption this month and the shelter is featuring some cute dogs for the 'Twelve Dogs Of Christmas'.

This week Pinky is one of the featured twelve.

She is an energetic, playful, and fun-loving four-year-old Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix. While playful, she does have her limits with younger smaller dogs, kittens, and cats.

She is an active gal and loves playing in the water - that's from her lab side of the family!

Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas.
