Mackie’s Been Looking For Forever Family For Over A Year Now

It's been a year since we featured Mackie as our Pet Of The Week and for the last 378 days, he's still been living in his kennel at the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler.

Mackie is still looking for his fur-ever home and family to give tons of unconditional love to.

He's a brown and black 4-year-old hound mix that is ready for a place to call his own. A place where he can become familiar with and bond with a family and give them some great doggy love.

Mackie is looking for a place to let loose and be a dog and he loves all kinds of games, but most importantly, he's looking for a best friend to play with. Mackie may be extremely shy at first due to some trust issues, but once he spends some time with you and gets to know you and your scent he'll go into full-on play mode.

Mackie will go home with a starter kit of food, a big fluffy dog bed, a collar, and a leash.

Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas.
