Looking for a safe, climate-controlled area in Tyler for your kids' next play date? Get ready for "Play at Broadway Square!"

Fun-filled, interactive activities are coming soon to the south wing of Broadway Square Mall in Tyler--near GNC and Shoe Department Encore. Including the stomp tower race game, a lit, interactive tunnel, climbing rings, log tunnel with slide, and more, the new play area should be open by February 2.

Candace Foster, Director of Marketing & Business Development shared how "excited [they are] to bring this wonderful amenity to our community. The incredible design created by PLAYTIME, will allow local children to engage with each other in a safe, climate controlled environment."

Designed as an open concept, the play area includes a separate area for toddlers and other activities designed specifically for older kids to play games, such as the digital motion Quantum Space screen and more. It will also facilitate easier access to the area for both caretakers and parents.

Kudos to the designers for including charging stations at every seat of the backless benches AND for including a place to enjoy a snack while looking after the children. Mall officials hope "Play at Broadway Square" will be the next manifestation of their "commitment to the children and families in the Tyler community and surrounding East Texas area."

Ready to play? The ribbon cutting and grand opening are scheduled for February 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Activities will include a balloon drop, face painting, and arts and crafts.

My only other question is...can they build an interactive lit tunnel for grown-ups? Cuz that's hecka-sweet, dude.
