Dusty came under the care of the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas because the only owner he ever knew suddenly passed away.

Dusty has been under the care of Pets Fur People ever since that day and that's going on two years now. He's grown some and become a bit more accepting of other people, but there are just some things that don't change.

While life is good around the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler, Texas, he's still looking for his new permanent residence.

Dusty is now nine and a half years old. He's a Shepherd mix who is just a sweetheart says Pets Fur People's executive director Gayle Helms. She says he prefers the companionship of men. With the right understanding and care, Dusty will surely find a loving home where he is cherished and feels a lot of love from his new owner.

Dusty deserves a fresh start with a new loving family.

This big guy will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar, and a leash. For additional information on adopting Dusty call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm.

The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats.
