Dairy Queen is Giving Away Free Ice Cream

Dairy Queen restaurants across East Texas will give you a free vanilla cone, and there's only one thing you have to do to get it.

Show up!  Just pop in next Tuesday, March 20th, at any East Texas Dairy Queen location, and they'll give you a free vanilla cone. They're celebrating the arrival of spring, and helping us launch a weekly (if not daily) ice cream habit that will carry us through the summer.

It's the 4th annual Free Cone Day, and they'll be raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals too, through donations.  If you're like me, you might feel a little guilty about taking three kids of your own and some of their friends in for about 6 free cones, so it won't hurt to leave a couple of extra bucks as a donation. Our own kids will be happy, and so will the kids at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, including some right here in Texas.  Delish says last year's free cone day raised $300,000 for local hospitals.

The free cone giveaway happens at participating non-mall locations of both Dairy Queen and DQ Grill & Chill restaurants.
