
‘Code Maroon’ Issued for Parts of Texas A&M University
At 10:50am today (2/20) a 'Code Maroon' was issued for Texas A&M University after a bomb threat was received against Kyle Field. According to the Texas A&M website, approximately 700 people were evacuated from Kyle Field, Reed Building, G. Rollie White, Neetum Steed, and the Bright Athletics complex.
Authorities were notified of the threat at approximately 10:50 a.m. The threat was written on a wall of a non-academic facility on campus. An investigation was launched immediately, and a Code Maroon emergency message was subsequently issued.
The stadium and adjacent parking lots (46, 48, 59, and 69) remained closed as of 2:25pm.
The Reed Building, G. Rollie White, Neetum Steed, and the Bright Athletics complex will also remain closed for the remainder of the day.
