East Texas local animal shelters are full of loving animals that would love nothing more than to be adopted and given a second, or sometimes third or fourth chance to be part of a loving family. These animals have nothing but unconditional love to give to their new owners. It doesn't matter if they're a cat or a dog, they would simply like a place to call their own with an owner that will love them back.

There is a guy that has been staying at the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler for a little more than a year now and he's ready for looking for his new family. Carson. Carson arrived at the shelter on January 14th 2022 and has one of the biggest 'dog smiles' there is.

Carson is just the right size dog that will run and play with kids. He weighs about 40 pounds and Pets Fur People executive director Gayle Helms believes Carson would thrive as a member of a family with kids. He loves to go for walks and likes the companionship of other dogs.

Carson will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

For additional information on adopting Trevor call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before a meet and greet can be arranged. Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the oldest brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
