Six Flags Over Texas Announces New Thrill Ride
This weekend is the last weekend you’ll be able to ride The Texas Chute Out and Flashback at Six Flags Over Texas. The park will stop operating these thrill rides Monday evening and the space will be occupied by a new thrill ride called the Texas SkyScreamer which will open in 2013!
Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Michigan
For the second time in six months, the nationwide Powerball lottery reached a record jackpot. Last nights jackpot was the fourth highest in the lottery’s history at $337 million. According to ABC News, there was only one winning ticket sold.

Your final chance to ride two iconic rides at Six Flags Over Texas will be Labor Day. The park will be closing the Texas Chute Out along with Flashback after decades of service to make way for a yet to be announced new attraction for the park.
City of Tyler’s ‘Second Chance Warrant Program’
The City of Tyler is giving offenders a chance to take care of their unresolved warrants before facing jail time. In a program called the “Second Chance Warrant Program“, the Tyler Municipal Court is offering the chance to work out a payment schedule to get the fine paid off.
