Here we are at the last full weekend before we begin feeling the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday rush. We'll feel the rush beginning with the grocery stores this weekend along with area liquor stores as we get all the necessities for our Thanksgiving feasts.

It's going to be a pleasant weekend when it comes to the weather. There are no threats from above when it comes to outdoor plans, so do something outside. Lots of sunshine and comfortable temperatures for those who plan on hanging up Christmas lights on the house and setting up the outdoor inflatables and decorations.

The Junior League of Longview is proud to host Christmas in the Pineywoods. This is a three-day holiday shopping event held November 21-23, 2024 at the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview. This holiday shopping event will feature more than 80 specialty boutiques and merchants from all over the state and country showcasing season decorations, housewares, artwork, gourmet foods, gifts and so much more. This is a ticketed event.

Pet Pictures With Santa

Whether your pet has been naughty or nice, bring them to our annual Pet Pictures with Santa Paws fundraiser for the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People. Santa will be at Peltier Subaru in Tyler on Saturday, November 23rd from 10-5 to have his picture taken with your pet. For $20, you will receive a beautiful 4X6 photo and a digital file of that photo. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People, the oldest no-kill animal sanctuary in East Texas celebrating 56 years of providing services to animals and people.
