Here we go again East Texas, it looks like it's going to be another cold weekend. Thankfully though this weekend there's no wintry mix in the forecast, just chilly temperatures and a breeze. The sun is expected to be out Saturday, so it'll appear to be warmer than it is, so just be prepared.

This weekend's activities offer a wide variety of things for East Texans to be a part of and participate in. From shopping to fishing to a dance and a wild cirque show, there are plenty of things for East Texans to do this weekend.

The Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation Department invites you and the kids out Lakeside Park along Pearl Street for the annual Kid's Fishing Tournament. With your poles, lures and bait it'll be a great bonding moment with the family while having some fun and possibly winning some prizes too.

It happens during the third weekend of the month. Vendors from all around set up shop and sell their crafts and creations. There are one-of-a-kind finds to fashion to electronics, vintage finds, and home goods. If you've got an appetite, there are food vendors on site too.

HERPS Longview Exotic Reptile and Pet Show

We will have an educational section for the kids and adults that will let you get up close and personal with some of the most exotic animals on the planet.
