Jetpacks were always the things in movies that were part of what the future world would look like -- people would be traveling by flying themselves.

Well, now it's a reality.

Dubai pilots Yves Rossy and Vince Reffet did just that, strapping personal jetpacks to themselves and took flight. Except they didn't just fly, they flew in formation very close to the world's largest passenger aircraft.

The A380 is about 238 feet long, so when you watch the above video you can get a real sense of just how small these guys' jetpacks really are.

How did they film it? Very carefully. An entire video team stayed close in a smaller airplane, and put together a video that is truly awe-inspiring. Check it out.
