East Texas restaurants are under constant scrutiny from their customers and the health department. Despite this threat of constant criticism, they are striving to do their best and serve up a quality product every day they're open.

If a customer does not receive the level of service they think they deserve or the food doesn't meet their standards, they're going to blast their feelings about a place all over social media.

The health department is a bit more reserved when it comes to grading restaurants. They will not blast it on social media, they'll simply place the results of an inspection online for public viewing. Restaurants though are required to post their latest inspection for the public to view or have it on file for inspection.

The Northeast Texas Public Health District inspectors regularly visit East Texas area restaurants to check up on them to make sure they are preparing food in a manner that is safe for public consumption and to make sure food storage, facilities, and procedures are being followed.

NET Health inspectors aren't just inspecting your local fast food and dine-in restaurants, they also inspect convenience stores, hotels, schools, daycare, healthcare, and extended care facilities along with food trucks.

We are not calling out the restaurants in this article, the goal is to bring these restaurants to your attention, and they had some issues when the health inspector recently stopped by.
