Four Tyler Restaurants Had 17 Demerits Each During Latest Health Inspection
Health inspectors from the Northeast Texas Public Health District (NET Health) regularly visited Tyler area restaurants to give them a thorough inspection. Results from these inspections could range from a simple correction of the issue to retraining to the temporary or even permanent closure of the restaurant.
NET Health inspectors aren't just inspecting your local fast food and dine-in restaurants, they also inspect convenience stores, hotels, schools, daycare, healthcare and extended care facilities along with food trucks.
Basically, wherever food is being prepared, cooked, and served to the public, NET Health inspectors can and do inspect these facilities to make sure proper food handling procedures and storage regulations are being adhered to.
While the majority of food establishments do their best to follow protocol, there are some who try to bend the rules and others have blatant disregard for the established requirements. When these restaurants and facilities fail to meet and maintain standards the health of the public is put in jeopardy.
When it comes to eating out we all have a choice. So after looking this list over if you notice one of your favorite locations on here along with their violations, you might want to think about selecting a new location.
BUT REMEMBER, restaurants receive immediate feedback from NET Health inspectors of their inspection and many of the reported issues have most likely been addressed and everything is back to normal and the restaurant is once again compliant.
