IHOP is celebrating National Pancake Day until 7 this evening, & you're the beneficiary-  well, one of 'em.  This is the 12th consecutive year IHOP is offering a free "short stack" of their original buttermilk pancakes to every customer.  So other than your stomach, & IHOP's friendly image, who's coming out ahead as a result of this generosity?  The answer's simple:  several worthy charities, thanks to donations you'll make while scarfing down the free flapjacks!

Shriners Hospitals For Children, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, & Children's Miracle Network Hospitals will all receive the contributions from diners today.

IHOP's been able to donate more than $24-million to charity causes since they started the "free short stack" tradition in 2006.  All five IHOPs in East Texas are participating today-  2 in Tyler, 1 each in Longview, Lindale, & Winona.  Whether you stop by for lunch or dinner, be ready to eat some pancakes & feel good for doing your part to help IHOP raise money.
