The Top Six Brunch Spots in Tyler for Mother’s Day
With Mother's Day coming up, now is the time to plan. Most likely, Mama's not cookin' on May 14th, so you might want to pick from one of these top five brunch spots in Tyler to let her relax and enjoy some great food while you pick up the tab. Feel free to argue with our list, and add your own best local spot to have brunch.
We did, however, get a little from Yelp.
The Five Best Brunch Spots in Tyler:
1. The Egg and I - 150 E 9th St, Tyler, TX 75701
Just one reason for this choice actually. The Bacon Avocado Scramble. The eggs and spinach are topped with avocados and pepper jack. Yum. And of course they've got waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and all the usual brunch items that you might wake up craving on a Sunday morning.
2. Mama's Restaurant - 2105 E 5th St, Tyler, TX 75701
Reviews say the "meat omlet" is fantastic, and frankly if it's that well-known and you don't need to call it anything other than a "meat omlet," you win and we should all come and try it. We think it's steak, but it doesn't really matter as long as it's good. Some Google reviewers call it a hole-in-the-wall, and we all know how awesome those hidden gems can be.
3. La Madeleine - 419 W SW Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75701
Many of us don't know how to, or just plain can't conquer the art of the quiche and the fruit tart, so we leave it to the experts who make french cooking look easy. It can get crowded in the late morning and early afternoon, so pack your patience if you're taking a big family. It will be a good place to get mom some creme brulee on Mother's Day.
4. The Diner - 7924 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703
They're not open for dinner, so you know breakfast and lunch will be killer since that's what they concentrate on. Cinnamon roll pancakes? That sounds awesome, right after a round of the fried pickle appetizers. The whole family could share all of that, and then order some crepes, french toast, or a chicken fried steak sandwich and have some of that famous Frito pie for dessert. We're not counting calories on Mother's Day.
5. Villaggio Del Vino - 4803 Old Bullard Rd, Tyler, TX, 75703
Already standing strong with a four-star Yelp review overall, all of the brunch ratings were perfect five stars. Brunch items range from blueberry almond pancakes to Buffalo steak, so there's something for everyone. Plus... wine.
6. Corner Bakery Cafe - 3306 Troup Hwy, Tyler, TX 75701
This might be the best spot to hit all of the taste buds in the family and please the picky eaters, since they've got an extensive menu of soups and salads and lighter options, along with the cheesy things. They've got breakfast flats, paninis, fresh fruit, and a kids' menu that will make those picky little things happy too. If the weather is awesome on Mother's Day, the patio will be a popular spot.
So, where are you taking Mom on Mother's Day?
