If you are looking for some things to do to get in the Christmas spirit, the Polar Express is kicking off soon! The Texas State Railroad will start Polar Express excursions from its Palestine depot starting Saturday, Nov. 16. It's based on "The Polar Express," a book by Chris Van Allsburg. Kids get to experience taking a train to visit Santa at the North Pole, according to TylerPaper.com. Not only will the kiddos get to enjoy the ride, cocoa chefs will serve hot chocolate and cookies, there will be story time, with passages from the read from the book and holiday songs.
