Say it ain't so! Bed Bath & Beyond will be closing 60 stores. The retailer already announced it was closing 40 stores, with the new announcement, that means 20 additional stores will be shutting their doors forever. The CEO says that closing the stores will allow the remaining stores to thrive because of the company's “renewed focus on driving traffic and operating efficiency,” according to CNN reports.

The original 40 will be the Bed Bath & Beyond brand, while the other 20 will be from the company's other brands, according to EastTexasmatters.com. There has been no announcement on which stores will close, but hopefully it won't be the one here in Tyler! We'll find out by the end of the year though. I guess with Amazon and other online retailers, it's hard to stay competitive with big stores, when shoppers can get the same items without leaving their houses and a click of a button.
