Saturday is the Last Day to go Birding at Tyler State Park
The weather should be a little warmer this weekend, so it will be a good one to take a walk around parts of the lake trail at Tyler State Park to look for birds! It's the last official day for birding, and the viewing should be at a peak.
Birds won't suddenly disappear after tomorrow because that would be crazy. But right now is prime viewing time, and tomorrow is the last official birding day at Tyler State Park. Just take your own binoculars, if you have them, and meet at the Brown's Point Picnic Area.
Hawks are migrating right now, and Tyler State Park hosted a Hawk Watch event two weeks ago to help us catch a glimpse as those majestic birds made their way further south. Tomorrow's event will help us identify other species of birds (because we know the kids will ask, and this way we won't have to ask Alexa or Google). If you've got a powerful, fancy camera, you'll want to take that for sure.
