What You Need to Know About Roundup Day in East Texas

(KNUE-FM) Let’s be honest 2025 has been a little bit crazy at times and here in East Texas we need something fun to look forward to and there is something on the horizon! There is a new tradition on its way and you are more than encouraged to join in on the fun of ROUNDUP DAY!

Taking place on Friday, September 19th!

What Is Roundup Day?

This is a new community-wide celebration that kicks off the start of the East Texas State Fair. It’s a day where local businesses, schools, and organizations will show their Fair pride by dressing in Western wear. There will be themed events going on all over town and you’re encouraged to make it happen at your work or school.

It could be as simple as wearing cowboy boots at the office or holding a lunchtime chili cook-off. This is all about bringing East Texans together to have some fun as we kick off the East Texas State Fair!
