Police Looking For Texas Teen Bragging About Spreading COVID-19 On Social Media
Police in Carrollton, TX have identified a teenager (honestly, an adult) who has been on social media bragging about contracting and purposefully spreading COVID-19 to others.
She has been identified as 18-year-old Lorraine Maradiaga of Carrollton, near Dallas.
"We have no confirmation Maradiaga is actually a threat to public health," police said. "We are, however, taking her social media actions very seriously."
On the Carrollton PD Facebook page, users have agreed with the police department saying that Maradiaga's should be made an example of what not to do.
Well I will say this to Carrollton PD,even if she is found to be negative for the virus, this is no joke, she needs to be made an example of,and still be charged! Period! And if it doesn’t hold up in court, that is between her, judge, and God! But CPD must charge her! She is ridiculous! And though she may only be 18,she is old enough to know better!
Police are asking for anyone who knows where to find her to call 972-466-3333 or email CrimeTips@CityofCarrollton.com.
