Police Arrest Four Men for Theft and Illegal Firearm Possession in Longview, TX
OFFICIAL REPORT from Longview, Texas Police: Four young men were arrested on April 18 for unlawful carrying of a weapon. One was also charged with theft.
There may be a reason our parents always told us when we were teenagers that "nothing much good happens after midnight" when they were trying to make us feel a bit better about our curfews. And although I personally retorted on various occasions, the older I get the more I'm inclined to agree when it comes to minors.
And this may be a perfect example of that.
It was around 2:24 a.m. in the morning on April 18 when a Longview Police Officer happened to be patrolling the area near the Pine Grove Apartments at 741 Ethel Street. The police officer noticed four individuals in a vehicle that were wearing dark-colored masks over their faces.
That may have been reason enough to get a closer look into the situation, but then the officer saw the individuals "duck down as if they were trying to hide from the officer.

Due to this suspicious activity, the officer approached the vehicle and discovered four individuals with masks and several firearms inside the vehicle, with two of the firearms reported as stolen."
Upon further investigation, four young men were arrested and then booked into the Gregg County Jail. The names of the individuals are as follows:
Devontay Black of Kilgore, Texas, 18-years-old. He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Patrick O’Keith Jackson of Marshall, Texas, 18-years-old. He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Markell Cantrell Rudd of Marshall, Texas, 17-years-old. He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Theft of Property $100 to $700.
Tr’Kelvin J. Wheeler of Marshall, Texas, 17-years-old. He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Theft of Property $100 to $700, "and Fail to Identify/Giving False Information to a Peace Officer."
Here's hoping these young men don't continue down this path.
