Easter is coming up Sunday and kids all over East Texas will be out hunting Easter eggs! Kids will find everything from wrapped candy, some will have small trinkets in them, while others will be filled with coins and cash! (Those, by the way, are my favorite kind of eggs.)

The City of Palestine will host their annual Egg-Normous Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at the Palestine Athletic Complex. This is a free BYOB event (bring your own basket). The hunt gets underway right at 11 a.m. with three age appropriate group of kids quickly gobbling up around 20,000 fun filled eggs. Each of the three fields filled with eggs will feature 'golden eggs' that can be redeemed for special prizes!

In addition to the Easter egg hunt, kids will be able to play in bounce houses, win prizes, get their faces painted and get pictures taken with the Easter bunny, courtesy of the City of Palestine Parks & Recreation department.
