Next Round Of Stimulus Checks Could Come In A Debit Card
Don't throw away that envelope with the debit card in it because it could be a stimulus check.
That's right! Your stimulus check will now come in another form of payment besides direct deposit and paper check.
Most American’s have received their stimulus check through direct deposit, or paper check and now debit cards are being issued to individuals who don’t haven’t provided banking information to the IRS.
The good news is you would receive payment faster than waiting for a check!
Secretary Stephen T. Mnuchin said in a statement,
Treasury and the IRS have been working with unprecedented speed to issue Economic Impact Payments to American families. Prepaid debit cards are secure, easy to use, and allow us to deliver Americans their money quickly. Recipients can immediately activate and use the cards safely.
More than 140 million payments with the value of $239 billion have gone to families as part of the COVID-19 relief package that was approved in March.
