The Grammy Awards are no longer about seeing who wins in what category, but about the performances.  There has been some memorable Grammy performances over the last few years and some that have been just off the wall and leave you saying, “What was that?!”  I've came up with 4 pretty good moments from past years along with one that left me saying, “What was that?!”  Guess which one it was – see the contenders next!

  • Pink

    2010 Grammy Awards

I think this has got to be the best Grammy performance ever.  Dangerous too!  Pink hanging by threads above the audience!  Awesome performance.

  • Cee Lo Green with Gwyneth Paltrow and the Muppets

    2011 Grammy Awards

Cee Lo looked like Big Bird had gone wild in a Sherwin Williams store!  The Muppets were cute and I thought the performance was great too, but a little awkward though when Gwyneth was dancing around on the piano!

  • Keith Urban, Norah Jones and John Mayer

    2011 Grammy Awards

You wouldn't think putting a country, jazz and pop star together and have them sing the Dolly Parton classic “Jolene” would come out all that great, but it actully did!  However, watching the perfomance and watching John Mayer look directly into the camera it appeared to me as if he didn't know the words to the song and he was reading them off the teleprompter!

  • Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift

    2010 Grammy Awards

The pairing was a great thought, however the performance was a little lack luster because of Taylor being off key! She blamed it on her earpiece and the performance was really aweful.

  • Madonna and Gorillaz

    2006 Grammy Awards

Opening the Grammy Awards in 2006 the Gorillaz performed right before Madonna appearing in her tight blue leotard performing “Hung Up On You”.

  • Linkin Park, Jay-Z and Paul McCartney

    2006 Grammy Awards

A mash-up that when you mention seperately would most likely sound horrible, but when performed it was pretty good.  The trio performed “Numb”, “Encore” and “Yesteday”.  A side note on the performance, it almost didn't happen because moments before it went live, Jay-Z had stage fright and almost didn't perform.
