Jimmie Vaughan Embraces Tyler’s Quirks

I love it when people who are talented and successful are nice, too.

Jimmie Vaughan was super cool Saturday night, talkative and engaging, and he embraced our Tyler quirks like this mannequin lady. Here's the story behind this pic.

If you've been to the Cue:Creative building on the square in Downtown Tyler, you've probably see the red-headed mannequin.

She sits on the couch in the lobby sometimes, and other times she sits at the reception desk.

Why? The best answer I could get from the questions I asked was, "I don't know. Cuz."

She makes people do a double-take when they walk into the Cue:Creative offices, and I think more than one person has started up a conversation with her before realizing that she's not going to talk back.

During the meet-and-greet with Jimmie Vaughan at Rock the Square Saturday night, we happened to be inside those offices, so we scooted the mannequin over to Jimmie and he was kind enough to pose with her.

This might have been a first for him, and he's a legend with a lot of firsts. Something tells me he'll remember us in Tyler.

He was great on stage, didn't you think? He's a pro. A legend. An Austin musician with a lot of class, and I thought he was fantastic.
