Rockers Are Headed to East Texas for T-Bone Walker Blues Fest

The Rick Derringer Band and blues rock guitarist Jimmie Vaughan are a couple of the names headed to East Texas to rock out at a concert and festival this fall.

We're in!  Where will they be?

The T-Bone Walker Blues Festival is coming to Longview for the first time September 12th and 13th, and Rick Derringer has signed on to headline, along with co-headliner Jimmie Vaughn.

Did you know Rick's birth name in 1947 was Ricky Dean Zehringer?  He changed his stage name to Derringer along the way.

Jimmie Vaughn draws a crowd on the Austin music scene and still lives in Austin.

The Blues Fest was held in the past at the Music City Texas Theater, but moves this year to the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview to have more space and attract more people as it grows into a larger event, in conjunction with Arts Longview.

The festival also plans a car show on Saturday September 13th.  See you there!
