Hey Guy Fieri, Bring The Triple D Cameras And Check Out These East Texas Restaurants
One of my guilty pleasure shows to watch when I have spare time is Guy Fieri's 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' on Food Network. The show features Guy Fieri traveling to cities across the nation to show off some amazing-looking food cooked up by the locals. Watching the show makes me want to jump in my truck and go on a road trip to try all the food he showcases from these amazing-looking restaurants.
Now if you were to just visit these towns that he's visited you'd probably drive right by these places and never know they exist. Locals do though! They might not be the biggest, newest, or flashiest of places, but man, these places are creating some phenomenal dishes.
The 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' cameras have been all over Texas, but when you look at the list of fabulous restaurants he's visited, Guy has hit up the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, Austin, San Antonio and Houston quite a bit and we're thinking it's about time he pays East Texas a visit along with the DDD camera's!
Yeah Guy Fieri, We Want You To Come To East Texas Too
There are many worthy local restaurants all over East Texas that are deserving of the 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' cameras. We took to social media to ask which restaurants Guy Fieri should feature on the show and there was no shortage of responses.
Last summer while on vacation visiting Yellowstone National Park, my family and I discovered a DDD-featured restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming. We stopped in for lunch before going to Yellowstone. Sidewinders American Grill & Tavern was featured in season 20 of the show on an episode called 'Stuffed and Twisted'. Of course we had the DDD featured item, the 'S'idewinder Pretzel! It was a gigantic pretzel in the shape of the letter 'S' and stuffed with pepperoni. It was absolutely worth it. This is the first and only 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' restaurant I've eaten at.
When I make a trip back to the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex soon, I'll be hitting up more of these triple-D joints!
OK, GUY FIERI - East Texans would love to see you and the camera crew visit these East Texas Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
