We recently purchased a turntable and I am in love. It's the first one I've had in many years. Although I'm thankful for the convenience and immediacy of technology, there's nothing quite like the warm, analog sound of listening to Led Zeppelin, Heart, or The Beatles on vinyl.

Perhaps that's why in the last several years, there has been such a renewed passion for listening to music on vinyl. On top of that, there's a pleasure in perusing through stacks and finding that one record you've been looking for or finding one you forgot even existed.

This weekend, you'll have a great opportunity to do just that at the Tyler Vinyl Record Show at the Staybridge Suites in Tyler. Times and ticket prices are available on the event page here. And hey, in addition to general admission tickets, early bird tickets are on offer, as well. Wanna bring the kids? Twelve and under get in free.

In addition to the vinyl, there will be all kinds of music-oriented stuff to buy, sell, or trade. There's some long term collectors expected to attend and who knows what treasures they'll bring to the event.

Sounds like a great way to spend some time this weekend. Let us know what you find.
