Kids don't really need an entire pumpkin head full of taffy, jawbreakers, and chocolate do they?   Oh, but it's hard to let all that goodness go.  Instead of tossing it out, one Tyler dentist plans to put the candy to good use.  And you can make a buck off of it.

The Halloween Candy Buy Back program teams up with dentists to take unwanted candy and send it to our troops overseas.  Parents don't have to deal with the sugar rush, dentists help prevent a few cavities, and the troops get some love in the form of Whoopers and Tootsie Pops.  Sounds like a win-win!  Let go of that Twizzler kiddo.  It will be ok.

Dentists who register with the program pack up the candy and send it to the troops through Operation Gratitude.

So instead of tossing out the bucket of candy when the kids aren't looking, or letting it sit in the pantry for a year because you only knock back one piece per day, brighten a soldier's day with it.  It will help them think of home and it just might give them a warm and fuzzy chocolate buzz.  Happy Halloween.
