2 Million Pounds of Taco Bell Ground Beef Recalled
Thinking of hitting up Taco Bell for lunch? It may be smart to skip out on Taco Bell altogether. At least until we all feel like the contaminated meat has ran it's course. The popular taco spot has issued a voluntary recall. The recall is a hefty one, totaling over 2 million pounds of ground beef.
There are some concerns over the possibility of the ground beef being contaminated with metal shavings. The ground beef was shipped to five different distribution centers which are used to ship food nationwide to all of the Taco Bells in their region.
According to Taco Bell, they are the ones who alerted the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection after they received 3 different complaints. The contaminated meat was sent out to 21 different states. So far there have been no reports of anyone getting sick due to the ground beef.
Taco Bell says the coast is cleared and we can eat all the Taco Bell you want. Will you be jumping back on the Taco Bell bandwagon anytime soon?
