The threat of ongoing rain has spurred organizers of this weekend's T-Bone Walker Blues Festival in Longview to make changes to the outdoor stage portion of the show.

Thankfully, a "rainy day" back-up plan was concocted for just such an occasion and now the outdoor portion of Friday and Saturday's festivities will be moved from the open field near the Maude Cobb Convention Center to under the cover of the Large Agriculture Pavilion on the festival grounds.

"This location affords both musicians and fans adequate shelter from the forecast rain showers," festival producer Marc Welch said in a statement.

Additional overflow seating will be provided at the Small Agriculture Pavilion located directly south of the large pavilion. Limited physical seating is available within each pavilion so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Vehicle entry for the venue will be via the main Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex entrance, Grand Blvd off of Cotton Street, then west into the parking area south of the Rodeo Arena.

Festival gates open at 4 p.m. Friday, with performances starting at 5:30 p.m. Saturday opening is at 1 p.m. with Big Gus and Swampadelic taking the stage at 2 p.m.
