It's been a year since Jason Pierre-Paul of the New York Giants injured his hand in a gruesome fireworks accident, and he's been doing quite a few interviews lately about he dangers of fireworks.  Have you seen the pics?  They look like something out of the movies. Don't eat first. Visits to ERs in East Texas will be up this week because of fireworks-related injuries, but you can protect yourself.

The Fourth of July wouldn't be the same without a fireworks show and the City of Tyler has a big extravaganza planned for this year!

So, um, yeah, maybe leave the fireworks to the professionals.

Fireworks will soon be exploding over the skies of East Texas as we celebrate the independence of our great country.

You haven't truly experienced 4th of July fireworks until you've experienced them from the viewpoint of a drone flying dead center through all of the explosive action.

Next Friday, July 4th, we'll be celebrating our nation's birthday with a big birthday party that will most likely involve fireworks! Although they are a source of great joy and full of amazement because of all their beautiful colors, they can though be quite dangerous.

The fireworks at Lindsey Park in Tyler were in jeopardy of not going off this year because the Tyler Jaycees, who traditionally has hosted the show, pulled out and the show was cancelled for a short while. Now that a group of generous people has come up with the funds and the show can go on!

The Tyler Jaycees Civic organization is forced to fold due to declining membership, and this could be the end of community event favorites like the annual fireworks display.
