Let your opinion be known!

Early voting starts today and runs through next Friday, Feb. 28.

And when you go to the polls, you'll have to have a valid ID, because of the voter ID law that was recently passed.  What counts as a valid ID?

The Secretary of State's Office says these forms of ID are valid:  Texas driver’s license, a Texas personal ID card, a Texas concealed handgun license, a U.S. military ID card, a U.S. citizenship certificate, a U.S. passport, or an election identification certificate.

You can still get a free election identification certificate through March 1 if you don't have a photo ID.  If you don't have an ID, you'll have to fill out a provisional ballot and would have to go back within six days to show the ID.

The primary election happens March 4.
