You Can Watch ‘Jaws’ While Floating in the Water this Summer
Alamo Drafthouse is known for being creative with their movie promotions. I really wish East Texas had one. But in Austin, each Saturday from June 8 through August 16, you can watch the movie that caused Martin Brody to say, "You're gonna need a bigger boat" while you sit on an inner tube, feet dangling in the water, according to delish.com.
It all takes place on the shore of Lake Travis in conjunction with Volente Beach Resort and Beachside Billy's Beachside Billy's to offer this experience. No tickets are available at the time of this writing but, in the past, tickets were $55 per person which would get you in to see the movie but also get access to the water park and other amenities before seeing Jaws that evening.
Jaws is intense but I have never found it scary. But I will say, watching the movie like this would be a whole new experience. I wonder if they have remote controlled stuff moving through the water that'll brush against you during some scenes. That would bring the intensity level up a notch.
Check out another theater that's done 'Jaws on the Water'!
