You Can Help The East Texas Food Bank And Blue Santas At Whataburger
Our Friends At Whataburger Sent Us Details On How You Can Help Our Neighbors In Need This Holiday Season.
Our friends at DKT Investments Inc. just opened up its newest Whataburger serving fresh, customized burgers, Fancy and Spicy Ketchup, and orange-and-white-striped fun in Tyler at 8910 S. Broadway a few weeks ago.
The Tyler based franchisee owns and operates 23 Whataburger restaurants all across East Texas and every year they give back to the East Texas community in a variety of ways especially around the holidays.
For the 6th year in a row, DKT will host its annual fundraiser for Blue Santa programs all across East Texas. The Blue Santa program is a holiday initiative that provides toys, food, and other items to families in need.
The program is run by police officers, volunteers, and local businesses, and is based on the idea that all children deserve to have a special Christmas. On Tuesday, Dec. 3rd from 5pm to 7pm, DKT Investments will donate half of its sales during that time to several Blue Santa programs including:
- Camp County Christmas for Kids Blue Santa
- East Texas Fraternal Order of Police Blue Santa
- Henderson Police Department Blue Santa
- Tyler Patrolman’s Blue Santa
- Upshur County Blue Santa
- Wood County Blue Santa
Whataburger restaurants in Tyler, Lindale, Chapel Hill, Henderson, Kilgore, Liberty
City, Gilmer, Chandler, Mineola, Bullard, Whitehouse, Pittsburg will be participating.
The next day, Whataburger will begin their annual East Texas Food Bank Ornament Sales on Dec. 4. Guests can buy train ornaments to adorn each restaurant through Dec. 17 with all proceeds going to the East Texas Food Bank.
By donating as little as $1, you can put your name on an ornament like this to hang in the restaurant:
You know you're going to be grabbing some Whataburger during the holidays so stop in and donate a little that will help a LOT of people in our area.
