Report Shows America’s Worst Ice Cream Brands Are Sold In Texas
I love a good frozen treat, especially during the Texas summers. While I enjoy things like popsicles, frozen yogurt, and even frozen fruit, my go-to will always be ice cream!
As a Texan, I do love some Blue Bell, but -- and this might make some people mad -- I'm a really big Ben & Jerry's fan, especially when it comes to their cheesecake flavors.
Where I live in Tyler there are even some really great places to sit down with a double scooped ice cream cone or a bowl filled with your favorite flavor and toppings. My top sit-down ice cream places would be Andy's and Marble Slab.
While there are tons of fantastic ice cream brands blessing the store shelves in Texas, there are also some that are not so great...
What makes an ice cream not good?
As I always say, taste is up to every individual person, but for me, I can tell when some ice creams taste a bit more... artificial. There's always something in the change of texture or the aftertaste that gives it away. I can also be rather picky about foods, so that comes into play as well.
24/7 Wall Street actually compiled a list of the 'worst ice cream brands,' and I have to say I really agree with some of them. The list essentially comes down to flavor, texture, creaminess, and quality of ingredients.
