Whitehouse Going Red and Gold in Support of Patrick Mahomes
All of Whitehouse is getting ready to cheer on their home grown NFL superstar, Patrick Mahomes, this Sunday. He is getting ready to lead his Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Sunday against the surprising Tennessee Titans.
And when I say Whitehouse is getting ready, I mean it. They are planning to change their colors from maroon and white to red and gold according to KLTV.
The Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce is asking residents and businesses to cover themselves, their windows, their signs, whatever they can with the colors of the Kansas City Chiefs. If Mahomes can lead the Chiefs to a win Sunday, they would represent the AFC in Superbowl LIV Sunday, February 2 in Miami.
Whitehouse high school is also hosting a "Red Out Day" this Friday, January 17.
If Mahomes leads his team to the Superbowl, he will be added to a long list of East Texans who have played in the big game. Good luck to Mahomes and the Chiefs Sunday.
