Your Guide To Independence Day Fireworks In East Texas
(Mix 93-1) The fireworks stands are open, and soon East Texans will be lighting up the nighttime sky with fireworks.
The 4th of July is coming up rather quickly, and this year we'll be celebrating the 249th anniversary of our great nation.

We'll gather with family and friends to celebrate at the pool, at the lake, in our backyards, or just in our homes. The grills will be loaded down with hot dogs, burgers, and steaks, and we'll be patiently waiting for it to get dark for the main event.
Whether we set off our fireworks or spread a blanket out and watch one of the professional shows, hundreds of fireworks will be exploding over our heads and lighting up the East Texas sky.
Fireworks Safety Tips for Your Backyard Show
Now, if you're planning on creating your own fireworks show, please be safe doing it. Make sure you have water to put out any potential fires, do not allow children to light fireworks, and never hold them in your hand.

Things to Bring to Your Fireworks Viewing Spot
When you're headed out to check out a fireworks show, you'll want to make sure you bring along some water, snacks, a blanket to spread out on the ground, and especially some mosquito and bug repellent!
