Warmer temperatures are on the way for Tyler and Longview, Texas. We'll all soon be experiencing some oppressive heat and humidity and looking for a way to escape it all. One of the places we seek out for relief is at a waterpark.

East Texans are pretty lucky because we have some splash pads and a couple of waterparks in our backyard that we can enjoy. We have even more within a few hours' drive of Tyler and Longview that give us all the opportunity to experience some thrills from wave pools and water slides that our area splash pads just can't do for us.

While there are a couple of indoor water parks nearby that we can enjoy any time of the year, like The Waterpark At The Villages on Lake Palestine, Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, and Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, there's just something about visiting an outdoor water park.

These outdoor water parks are getting ready for the 2024 season and will be opening soon. The lazy river, wave pools, slides, and other attractions are just waiting for us all to take advantage of them.
