Every day on your way to work, school, the grocery store, or wherever, we are bombarded by literally hundreds of traffic signs and lights. It could be one of the stop signs you must stop at, or set your speed from the speed limit signs, lane merge ahead to one-way signs, or something else. These traffic signs and traffic lights give us directions and instructions and without them, a lot of us would be lost (although some are lost even with them!).

Every once in a while there are certain signs and lights that catch our attention and there was one in Longview, Texas that was giving drivers the chuckles every day until the city corrected it.

While commuting on her daily drive to work in Longview, Trecann Lanette just happened to notice that the pedestrian light on the Hwy. 31 off-ramp at Loop 281 intersection looked a little bit different. When it was ok for the pedestrian to cross the road the light that indicated to them it was ok to cross the street had been installed upside down! She commented in a Longview Facebook group saying that at the light, "I crack up each time I see it. Unrealistic expectations here."

This was a great and funny find because when it was time for a pedestrian to cross the road, they were apparently supposed to live in the Upside Down World and walk upside-down across the loop! Yeah, kind of unrealistic. Other drivers hadn't noticed this snafu yet. Once the pedestrian light lit up with the white light with the walking man, you didn't really notice it because you've seen this type of traffic light lit up hundreds of other times. It's not until you really looked at it that you noticed he was walking upside down.

Trecann and other Longview drivers are now missing the upside-down walking man because the city learned about this installation mistake and they swooped in and fixed it and now he's walking like the rest of us. She states in the social media group, 'Alright, who snitched?' Of course, the city could have seen her original post and decided to flip him back around because it was fixed the day after she posted his pic and now his world is turned right side up!

While he was upside down, several other people noticed him and left the following comments:

East Texas' Top 16 Craziest, Busiest, Hardest-to-Park-in Parking Lots

This doesn't mean the business is bad. In fact, usually it's the contrary. I'll park four blocks away from Stanley's and brave being run over by an ambulance on Beckham Avenue for a Mother Clucker, all while wondering to myself "how in the hell did this wild-ass intersection even come into existence?" every week.
