Here we have another case of flight attendants having to duct-tape a passenger to their seat.

The last one we visited was in regard to a woman experiencing a mental health episode mid-flight and attempting to open the emergency door. This scenario, however, seems a bit different.

In this instance, you can see a seemingly wasted young man, identified later as 22-year-old Maxwell Berry, belligerently screaming at flight staff -- garbage like, 'my parents are worth more than two million dollars,' as if that's some kind of exception for his behavior.

Berry allegedly had one too many drinks and got handsy with some flight attendants before this meltdown was caught on camera.

Berry is seen lunging toward flight staff in the aisle, who have probably seen incidences such like this one too many times to count. Berry is later duct-taped to his seat to prevent further flight disruption.

I can't say that I blame flight staff for duct-taping a person that is behavior dangerously to their seat, and I'm sure that's what most of us would do if there were no other options. It just makes me wonder if there might be a better way to handle situations like this that occur in the sky rather than duct tape. Is there really no other way?

It seems this is cause for some new and inventive extra safety measures for passengers and crews on the off chance something like this happens in a flight. Straight jackets? Something less sticky and damaging? Something slightly more breathable than being taped down?

I'm not sure what the solution is, but I do know that it can't be easy to put up with this kind of crap while you're flying through the air trying to serve beverages.
