He's no ordinary 8-year old.  Corbin Glasscock has battled cancer and won.  And after kicking cancer in the butt, he's become Tyler's top police officer.  For a day anyway.

Corbin got to put on the SWAT gear and everything this week, and was officially sworn in as Tyler Police Chief for the day on Tuesday.  It was an opportunity made possible by Make-A-Wish, and the Tyler Morning Telegraph says the experience of being chief for a day was donated to the foundation by the Tyler Police Department. Then it was auctioned off during the foundation’s Evening of Wishes event in November and donated to Corbin.

Corbin was diagnosed with a specific type of cancer at age 6 and at that point he was given a 50-50 chance to live.  But he beat it, and now he's 8, and the boss of his own police force.  Well, he was on Tuesday anyway.  And the force was happy to have him as their leader.

Continued success, Corbin!  You are an inspiration.
