Soon kids in Texas will be singing the iconic song we all remember from our childhood, “I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys ‘R’ Us kid.” I’m so excited to tell you that there is a Toys ‘R’ Us location that is open with the holidays quickly approaching.

Kids will have the chance to look around and help them put together a Christmas wish list to send off to Santa Claus.

While online shopping has become the more popular method to complete Christmas shopping in recent years, this new location will allow kids the ability to hold the toy to see if it’s something they really want.

Where is This New Toys ‘R’ Us be Located in Texas?

The new toy store is located at Tanger San Marcos, you can see their website with the details here. The store is approximately 8,000 square feet of fun with lots of toys, located near a Kay Jewelers Outlet and Aldo shops.

The exact address for the mall is 4015 I-35 Frontage Road, San Marcos, TX 78666.

What Happened to Toys ‘R’Us Stores?

It was back in 2017 that the company filed for bankruptcy, and they closed over 800 stores by the end of June in 2018. It was difficult to see as many of us have so many great memories from visiting the iconic toy store when we were younger.

It’s great to have this location open, hopefully it can bring joy to kids that visit the store. This could make for a fun family road-trip, especially if you can stop by Buc-ee's on the way.
