These guys were impressive on Saturday night at Rock the Square. Foghat has been mastering that slide guitar sound since 1971, and although band members have come and gone over the years, they keep finding talented guys to step up and they haven't lost any of that signature sound.

And one of them asked for my number backstage. Did he get it?

Foghat took the stage around 7 on Saturday night, and before they went up we had a little time to kill back stage and we chatted about the show open and how they wanted to be introduced.  During the small talk, one of band members asked for my number and even sent a wing man to tease me and smile and help out, but I didn't give up the digits.  I'm sorry if I let you down ladies.  I'm just so used to finding guys on Tinder and Bumble that meeting in person was just too weird.

The show itself was awesome I thought.  Taco trucks, cold beers, the Classic Car Show, and Steven Pearcy (formerly of Ratt), Foghat, and Blue Oyster Cult. The sound engineers deserve some of the credit for plugging in all those cords and sometimes tweaking mics at the last minute, but the bands sounded great I thought.  We need to spend more time watching these live shows and less time on Youtube, pretending like we're in the crowd, right?  And less time on Tinder and actually meeting people in person?  Okay, okay.
