These Texas Spots Are Great Last-Minute Labor Day Getaways
No plans yet for Labor Day weekend?
Catching a high school football game tonight, or throwing a Labor Day backyard barbecue are some great last-minute ideas. But if you want to hit the road for a little bigger adventure, these cool Texas destinations might be just the thing you need to freshen up your social media pages.
Wine country is not just in Napa Valley. The Texas Hill Country grows grapes too, and they've got some award-winning wineries that offer tastes and tours. And Fredericksburg is like the queen of the Bed 'n Breakfast, and has several quaint spots that might be a nice break from the norm.
TourTexas.com also says Galveston is a good option for a Labor Day weekend getaway if you're in a beachy mood. Burnet is a good option if state parks are your thing. And New Braunfels for floating on the river, checking out live music at Gruene Hall, and discovering some new craft breweries.
East Texas has plenty of hidden gems too, and we'll be watching for your pictures on social media this weekend. And if it's just your backyard that smells like ribs, burgers, and beer, post it! We really "like" that.
