The Truth About East Texas Summer Heat

Summer does not officially begin until June 21 but we don't need to wait until then to feel the heat. The folks at It's A Southern Thing has given us the perfect preview of what to expect when the summer heat sets in.

That first 30 seconds of the AC blowing hot air, you need oven mitts to touch the steering wheel and to buckle your seat belt. Yeah, it can get miserable.

I'm one of the crazy ones that loves the 100 degree weather. If it gets into the 50's I'm showing up in a jacket and gloves. I love summer time.

I may have to try again later this summer to bake cookies in my car. It worked a couple of years ago and they came out pretty good.

I'm sure I can find something else to cook in my car in the summer heat. Tune in to find out if I do.
